- 2 ripe bananas firm, not overly soft
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2–3 tablespoons brown sugar
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract optional
- Pinch of cinnamon optional but amazing
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey optional — for extra sauce
Peel and slice the bananas into thick rounds (about ½-inch) or cut them lengthwise for long caramelized strips.
Add brown sugar & mix with banana slices to cover evenly
In a medium skillet over medium heat, melt the butter until it starts to bubble slightly.
Place the banana slices in a single layer in the skillet. Cook for 2–3 minutes without moving them so they caramelize and turn golden.
Flip gently Carefully flip the banana pieces and cook for another 2–3 minutes. Be gentle—they soften quickly!
Flavor it - Add vanilla, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. (Optional) Stir in maple syrup or honey if you want more syrupy sauce.
Serve immediately - They are best eaten hot and fresh
